Colour Charts

This is my understanding of colour.


Colour Theory

Colour theory is a body of practical guidance to colour mixing and the visual effects of a specific colour combination. 




Colour Context

Colour context is how a colour reacts within relation to different colours and shapes.




Colour Wheel

A colour wheel is a circle that shows the relationship between primary and secondary colours.




Analogous

Analogous colour is where you use a primary colour and the colour either side of it.





Complementary

Complementary colour is where you use to colours directly opposite each other, this gives you a bold dramatic look. 







Monochromatic

Monochromatic colour is where you use different shades of one colour.



Achromatic

Achromatic colour is colourless, it uses black, white and grey.
